When she moved from Laurel Canyon Los Angeles she resided in the same house as Pamela Adlon. Gunn is well known for her character Skyler White on the AMC Drama Breaking. The role she played earned her an award called the Primetime Emmy Award, Outstanding Supporting Performance in an Series Drama in 2013. In August 2013 she wrote an op-ed piece for The New York Times examining the negative comments made by people about her role as a character.
